Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the services provided by Striping Made Easy ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") to you ("Client" or "you"). By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Striping Made Easy provides professional line striping, pavement marking, accessibility compliance marking, fire lane marking, warehouse floor marking, athletic court marking, and related services as agreed upon in writing between the Company and the Client.

All work performed is defined in a written quote or service agreement provided to the Client prior to the commencement of work. Services outside the scope of the agreed quote may be subject to additional charges with Client approval.

2. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes are provided in writing following an on-site assessment of the property. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise noted. Pricing is based on conditions observed at the time of assessment; changes in scope, surface condition, or Client requirements may result in revised pricing.

A quote is not a guarantee of total cost if unforeseen site conditions are discovered after work begins. We will communicate any necessary changes before proceeding.

3. Scheduling and Cancellation

Work is scheduled based on availability, weather conditions, and property access. Striping Made Easy reserves the right to reschedule work due to weather, unsafe conditions, or circumstances beyond our control. We will notify the Client of any rescheduling as promptly as possible.

Clients who cancel a confirmed project with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee as outlined in the project agreement.

4. Client Responsibilities

The Client is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the work area is clear of vehicles, equipment, and obstructions on the scheduled date
  • Providing accurate information about the property, intended use, and any known compliance requirements
  • Obtaining any necessary permits, approvals, or HOA/property manager authorizations prior to the work date
  • Ensuring the surface to be marked is clean, dry, and in suitable condition for paint application
  • Notifying the Company of any underground utilities, hazards, or special conditions on the property

5. Weather and Environmental Conditions

Paint adhesion and curing are dependent on temperature and moisture. Work will not be performed in rain or when ambient or surface temperatures are outside the paint manufacturer's recommended application range. Striping Made Easy does not guarantee paint performance on surfaces outside acceptable conditions and is not liable for paint failure caused by weather events occurring after application.

6. Payment

Payment terms are specified in the written quote or service agreement. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • Payment is due upon completion of work
  • Invoices not paid within 30 days of the due date may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month
  • The Company reserves the right to halt ongoing or future work on accounts with outstanding balances

The Client is responsible for any collection costs, including reasonable legal fees, incurred in connection with collection of overdue amounts.

7. Warranty

Striping Made Easy warrants that work is performed in a professional and workmanlike manner using commercial-grade materials appropriate for the application. This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and fading due to traffic, UV exposure, or weather over time
  • Damage caused by chemical spills, de-icing agents, or mechanical abrasion
  • Paint failure due to surface conditions undisclosed or unknown at the time of application
  • Work performed on surfaces that did not meet application suitability standards

Any warranty claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of project completion.

8. Compliance Information

Striping Made Easy applies markings to meet applicable provincial accessibility legislation (including AODA and NBC requirements), fire code, occupational health and safety regulations, and local municipal standards as understood at the time of the project. We provide compliance documentation for applicable services. However, we do not guarantee that our work will satisfy every regulatory requirement in all jurisdictions, as codes vary by province and municipality and are subject to change. Clients are responsible for confirming compliance with their local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

9. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Striping Made Easy be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from services performed or not performed under these Terms. Our total liability to any Client shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Striping Made Easy, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: (a) the Client's misrepresentation of property conditions; (b) Client's failure to obtain required permits or approvals; (c) use of the property after markings are applied in a manner inconsistent with the marking design.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website. Continued engagement of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
