Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked.

Getting Started

How do I get a quote?
Fill out the form on our contact page or give us a call. We'll get back to you within 24 hours to schedule a free on-site assessment. We measure your property, identify what's needed, and provide a detailed, itemized quote at no cost and no obligation.
Is the on-site assessment really free?
Yes — completely free, no strings attached. We come out, walk the property with you, take measurements, and discuss your needs. You'll receive a full written quote afterward. There's no obligation to proceed.
How quickly can you start a project?
Once we've completed the assessment and you've approved the quote, we'll schedule your project based on current availability and weather conditions. For most projects, we can begin within 1–2 weeks. Urgent compliance timelines can often be accommodated — just let us know.
What areas do you serve?
Our service area is available upon request. Contact us with your property's location and we'll confirm whether we can serve you. We're happy to travel for larger commercial projects.

The Work Itself

How long does a parking lot striping job take?
Most standard parking lots can be completed in a single day, often just a few hours. The lot needs to remain clear of vehicles during painting and for a short curing period afterward — we'll communicate exact timing in advance so you can plan accordingly.
What kind of paint do you use?
We use commercial-grade traffic paint rated for exterior asphalt and concrete surfaces in Canadian climate conditions. For interior warehouse and industrial floors, we use epoxy-grade floor coatings built for high-traffic and forklift environments. All paint is selected for durability and longevity.
How long will the lines last?
Exterior parking lot lines typically last 2–5 years depending on climate, traffic volume, and sun exposure. Heavy-traffic surfaces or lots with significant wear may need touch-ups sooner. We apply paint at proper thickness to maximize longevity.
Do you work in all weather conditions?
Temperature and moisture are critical to paint adhesion and curing. We won't apply lines in rain or when temperatures are outside the paint manufacturer's safe range. If weather requires rescheduling, we'll communicate proactively and find the next available window.

Accessibility & Compliance

How do I know if my parking lot meets accessibility requirements?
Accessibility compliance in Canada is governed by provincial legislation such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the National Building Code of Canada (NBC). Compliance is determined by the number of total parking spaces, the ratio of accessible spaces required, the presence of van-accessible stalls and proper access aisles, the International Symbol of Access, and clear path-of-travel from parking to the building entrance. Our free assessment includes a full accessibility review so you'll know exactly where you stand.
Do you provide documentation for accessibility compliance?
Yes. Every accessibility-related job comes with written documentation covering the number of accessible spaces, their dimensions, aisle widths, signage compliance, and the applicable AODA/NBC standards met. This documentation is useful for insurance records, municipal inspections, and tenant or customer assurance.
What happens if I'm cited for non-compliance?
Violations of provincial accessibility legislation — including AODA — can result in lawsuits, Human Rights Tribunal complaints, fines, and court-ordered remediation. Corporate violations can carry fines of up to $100,000 per day under AODA. If you've received a notice or citation, contact us — we can prioritize your project and provide the documentation needed to demonstrate corrective action.
Does my warehouse need floor markings?
Provincial Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations require that all permanent aisles and passageways in workplaces be appropriately marked. In Ontario, this falls under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA). If your facility uses forklifts or has pedestrian traffic, marked aisles, walkways, and hazard zones are legally required. Our warehouse marking service brings your facility into OHS compliance and helps keep workers safe.

Pricing & Logistics

What factors affect pricing?
Pricing depends on the size of the area, the number of stalls or markings, whether it's a new layout or re-stripe, the surface condition, the type of paint required, and any specialty stenciling. We provide fully itemized quotes so you understand exactly what you're paying for.
Do you require a deposit?
Payment terms are discussed at the time of quote. We'll outline expectations clearly before any work begins. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Striping Made Easy is fully licensed and insured. Proof of insurance is available upon request for property managers, HOAs, or commercial clients who require it on file.
